12 April 2026 Sunday 11:00 AM

.

Short: 4.5°C @ 11:00 AM. No grooming today. With an overnite low of -2.6°C, & a forecast of + 10 °C later this afternoon, ski conditions today should be simular to yesterday.

.

Long Version:  The ski season is hanging on like that one guest who just won’t leave the party—most folks have a few more days in them, and there’s always at least one legend eyeing “just one more week” (or three).

.

However—as has been hinted, suggested, implied, whispered, skywritten, carrier-pigeoned, and possibly interpretive-danced over the past few days—the grooming season has officially clocked out. The snowcats are now snug in their barn, tucked in like pampered house pets. The ginzoos are parked, tarped up tighter than leftovers in your grandma’s fridge. And most crucially, the groomers’ 4:00 AM alarms have finally been silenced. Cancelled. Possibly with extreme prejudice. Laid to rest with dignity… or more likely the nearest sledgehammer.

.

For the loyal few who read this Grooming Report through blizzards, boilerplate, and the occasional existential crisis, fear not: the grand, stat-packed, end-of-season wrap-up will appear at some point down the trail—when the stars align and/or the Wi-Fi cooperates.

.

Your SnowScribe is currently typing this from a mysterious, far-flung location nine time zones away, powered by what appears to be a vintage 9600 baud modem that wheezes with every keystroke. There’s a very real chance it may burst into flames, melt into a puddle, or achieve orbit the moment I hit “Update.” Fire extinguisher: armed and ready. Stay tuned.

.

So for now: ski a little longer, laugh at the slush, take the long way back to the lodge.

.

Because seasons end… but these days? These are the ones you remember.

 .

P.S. Most alpine/nordic spots that are still open—along with restaurants, climbing gyms, yoga studios, and adventure outfitters—will likely continue offering that sweet 10–50% Season Passholder discount until April 30, 2026… or until someone remembers to turn the sign off.  . Click here for info.
